Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like home.

I am home! Well, I have been home for a while, I just haven’t posted. I have been trying to recover. I had so much fun, but I was really tired, and ready to come home, by the time we left. Everyone was happy to see me, and I was happy to see them.
A lot has happened since I last wrote. We went to Stratford and saw Shakespeare’s birth place.

We went to see aunt J’s aunt and uncle. They were really nice. We stayed there for three nights. They took us up to a large hill, you could see quite a ways from the top.

They also took us to see some castles, took us around town, and we saw a pub that had been open since 1365. The United States wasn’t even a country in 1365!
After that we went up to York. It was so beautiful there. We stayed in a holiday camp. A lot of people up there don’t drive, so it was made so that you could just take a train up there and then not have to leave the camp. It was right on the beach, there were restaurants, swimming pools, laundry, anything that you would need.
On the way we stopped at the national railway museum. We also got to go in the big eye(a farris wheel)
While up there we went on a railroad, it took us to Whitby, we saw the Abby, and walked around a bit.

The next day we went down to Fountains Abby and Brimham Rocks. Unfortunately we had a little problem with the picture we took there, so I don’t have any at the moment. It was wonderful, though. I loved Fountains Abby, and Brimham rocks was fun. C loved climbing the rocks, so the two of us climbed up the rocks, and aunt J would take our picture.
We took a day to walke around York. I got dropped off and went to see Clifford’s Tower, the West Minster, and walk the old walls around York. It was a lot of fun.

I found an old book store. I had already bought a Charles Dickens book that was about ninety years old, and I wanted to get something similar for mom as a present. I found an old poetry book. They are both around ninety years old, and both were only about $10 each! I had wanted to get a Jane Austen book, but the only one they had was a first addition one, for $600, and I didn’t want to spend quite that much on a book, expecially one that you wouldn’t be able to read, just put in a case and desplay it, which isn’t such a good idea with nine kids running around.
We had tea at a friends house. It was really good. Then we went back to the camp.
Friday we went to the swiming pool. We were going home that day, so we decided to tire C out so that he would sleep on the way back.
It was a long trip back to aunt J’s mom’s house. We had to stop a few times that aunt J could feed R, and then there was road work, so we took a different way then we normally would have. We got a nice tour of a town. There were signs telling us which way we were supposed to go to get to the road we wanted, and and they took us all over the town, passing roads that we had already been on, and finally getting where we wanted to go.
Saturday we went out in K’s boat. We went to a light house and then to a pub.

Sunday we had Christmas dinner for tea. It was a lot of fun. I brought home a Christmas cracker, but Levi tore it up.
We spent Monday with aunt J’s father. We went to a play area.
I stayed home durring the day on Tuesday to relax, then that night we went to aunt J’s sister, V’s, house.
Wendesday we went shopping.
Thursday C got sick. Aunt J took him to the hospital, but he was fine.
Thursday we went to the zoo. It was small, but nice. The animals had really big enclosures.
Saturday we went to more old churches(you would think that after a month of seeing old churches I would be tired of it, but no, they are so beautiful, and we don’t have five hundred year old churches over here, especially not one that they still hold services in).
Sunday we went to church then to a nature reserve. It was so beautiful.
Monday we went to a play area, then packed.
Tuesday we left for London. We spent two days there, then went home. I will tell more about London tomorrow, I want to give it its own post. I will also post more pictures.
